   Home      About me

Active since 1987, I earned a music education degree from California State University in Fresno, where I had the chance to perform internationally in thirteen countries with the CSU Chamber Singers and orchestra. I also hold a Master in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University, where I was the recipient of the Meadows School of the Arts Artistic Scholarship. As a teaching assistant I taught at the university level.

After college, I have studied piano with Andreas Werz, Alfred Mouledous, and Sheila Paige. I studied pedagogy with Sam Holland, Philip Lorenz, and Dr. David Karp. I have also attended and performed in master classes in California, Austria and Texas. One of my performance achievements is the overall winner of the Fresno County Women’s Symphony League Concerto Competition with my performance of Gershwin’s Concerto in F.

After graduation, I joined the music associations in my area. I love guiding students in their musical journey regardless of their age. I feel very blessed in what I do! I encourage my students to have a strong theory component and my students do well in theory examinations. I also have them play a variety of repertoire pieces.

I put all my knowledge and love in each and every one of my students; from the ones that want to start and enjoy a bit of piano, and remain undiminished to the ones I have prepared as students of a music college. The graduating seniors I have been blessed with have entered universities such as SUM for piano and conducting, university of St Andrews as a conducting major, and also Trinity university for piano.
